Dr Jo Cannon worked as a Psychiatrist at George Bryan Centre and is a strong supporter of Reading for Wellbeing.
Now a full time writer, her book The Trouble with Goats and Sheep was inspired by her work with patients and is soon to be made into a television drama. She has also just published her second novel, Three Things About Elsie.
Jo very kindly appealed for book donations from her contacts at publishers who responded generously and the donated books are now on display in new bookcases on Brocton and Chebsey wards for service users to browse and borrow.
More information on Jo's work, including her recommendations for books to read and a very inspiring blog about her own experiences, can be found on her website... click here.
